Haunted North Carolina

North Carolina is haunted!  Just check out NC Literary Map's robust list of titles about ghosts and other haunted places across our state!  Apparently, North Carolina ghost writer Nancy Correll Roberts-Brown is not the only one who likes to tell of spooky and mysterious happenings in our area!

Storytellers Theresa Bane and Cynthia Moore Brown focus on ghost tales in the Piedmont region of NC in "Folktales and Ghost Stories of North Carolina's Piedmont."  Charlotte native Stephanie Burt Williams tells of haunted locations in Charlotte and its surrounding county in "Ghost Stories of Charlotte and Mecklenburg County."  Got kids?  Then you might want to peruse these stories in Terrance Zepke's aptly titled "Ghosts of the Carolinas for Kids."
