A Great Christmas Read
Christmas is just around the corner! We here at the NC Lit Map have quite a list of titles. One of these, "The Year of the Perfect Christmas Tree" by Gloria Houston, is set in the mountains of North Carolina in the year 1918. This classic children's tale is about a little girl, Ruthie, whose father has not yet come home from war. As such, Ruthie and her mother must deliver to their town "the perfect Christmas tree" in her father's stead. Interested in learning more? Then check out this book at your local library or bookstore!
