April 23 is World Book Night! This annual event is celebrated throughout the US and is designed to help spread a love of reading. Volunteers distribute paperback books to people who usually don't read, encouraging them to give reading a chance. It's estimated that over half a million books will be given away!
Check out the organization's official website for more information, including the selected titles that volunteers will be giving away (one of the titles is our Book Club selection - Me Talk Pretty One Day):

Graduate Research and Creativity Expo
On Tuesday, April 2, we displayed the Literary Map at the Graduate Research and Creativity Expo at UNCG! The Expo is an annual event where graduate students from any discipline can present their research. Check out our poster below:
Judges evaluated the posters and awarded $1,000 prizes to each discipline. Although we didn't win, we still had a great time talking about the Lit Map and our promotional efforts!
